Apache NIFI Installation
=====================

* Apache NiFi is a software project from the Apache Software Foundation which enables the automation of data flow between systems.
* It can be described as data logistics.
* Similar to how parcel services move and track packages like Apache NiFi helps move and track data.

Installation
===========
* Download the apache-nifi
https://archive.apache.org/dist/nifi/1.1.2/nifi-1.1.2-bin.tar.gz

* Download the JDK 1.8(Nifi support JDK 1.8)
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.html

* Untar the nifi
tar -zxvf nifi-1.1.2-bin.tar.gz

* Untar the Jdk1.8

* vi .bashrc

export JAVA_HOME=/home/username/jdk1.8.0_102

* source .bashrc

* open the nifi-1.1.2-bin

* Goto conf—>nifi.properties

nifi.sensitive.props.key=MYAOServer

TO START THE NIFI
===============

* cd nifi-1.1.2-bin

* bin/nifi.sh start

To run NiFi in the background, instead run bin/nifi.sh start. This will initiate the application to begin running.

* bin/nifi.sh status

To check the status and see if NiFi is currently running, execute the command bin/nifi.sh status.

* jps

RunNiFi
NiFi

latest-version

(After start the nifi it takes sometime for getting the WebUI)

FOR WEB UI
========
* Default port number is 8080

localhost:8080/nifi/
